The multi million pound hospital project, committed to deliver state of the art sustainable healthcare provision in The Gambia, has reached a significant milestone with the signing of the contract with the company that will construct the state of the art facility.
The contract between Horizons Clinic and builders Gicec China was signed at the office of Honourable Dr. Isatou Touray, Minister of Health & Social Welfare, Horizons founder Professor James N’Dow and Managing Director of the construction company Mr. Wu performing the honours.
Construction of the hospital, a collaboration involving private African investors, the Gambian Government, Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), African Development Bank and both the UK and Gambia Horizons Trusts, is expected to take between twelve and eighteen months.
